Commercial Market Focus – February 2018

The Westpac-MI Consumer Sentiment Index fell by 1.7% in November to 101.4 and moved back into pessimistic territory. The gap between consumer and business sentiment is widening again with the AiG PMI for November up strongly by 6.2 points to 57.3 and well into positive territory above 50. The W-MI Lending Index also rose last month to +0.44 in October as did the D&B Expectations Index hitting 23.7 points, its highest in 3 years.
