Role Overview
The Credit Underwriter supports the Head of Credit to maintain Thinktank’s credit standards and service quality by ensuring all credit decisions are soundly based and reflect the company’s current underwriting standards, policies, and risk appetite.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure all loan applications, including review of security and servicing, meets Thinktank’s credit criteria and risk appetite
- Credit assessment and approval within Delegated authority
- Data entry into Salesforce system as required
- Complete credit files as required
- Assist in following up outstanding Conditions Precedent prior to loan settlement
- Obtain valuation quotes and order/follow up valuations
- Liaise with Valuers, Solicitors and Financial advisors as required
- Prepare Letters of Offer/variations as required
- Attend to phone calls and email queries
- Workshop transactions with Relationship Managers to best meet credit guidelines.
About You
- Significant experience within a credit environment with extensive time within commercial credit
- Knowledge of commercial property finance credit and residential credit,
- SMSF experience would be desirable
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- A customer service focus and the ability to effectively prioritise your workflow
